Kazakhstan, China signed agreements on a number of projects
Astana. April 10. Kazakhstan Today - During the official visit to the Peoples Republic of China the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov the chairmen of the state corporations and holdings of Kazakhstan and China signed agreements on a number of large joint projects, the agency reports referring to the press service of the prime minister of Kazakhstan.
The chairmen of Kazakhtelecom Company and the Chinese Company China Network Communications Group (CNC) signed memorandum of mutual understanding on construction of the frontier joint of networks. The official body of the special economic zone Seaport Aktau and Sinjan commercial and industrial corporation San Bao signed the protocol on intentions for cooperation in development of Kazakhstan special economic zone. The memorandum of cooperation was signed between Kazakhstan Engineering Company and Chinese company Limited ТВЕА.
"The participants of the business-forum Kazakhstan - China: partnership in the name of success assessed the important program documents signed during the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to China in December, 2006 and accepted the Program of cooperation in non-raw sectors of economy during the state visit to Kazakhstan in August, 2007 of the chairman of the Peoples Republic of China Hu Jintao," the press service informed.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan Vladimir Shkolnik, the Minister of Commerce of the Peoples Republic of China and other chairmen of the state structures of two countries drew special attention to significant growth of economic development of Kazakhstan and China, creating favorable conditions for increase in volumes of bilateral trade.
The Kazakhstan-Chinese commodity turnover in 2007 reached $13.8 billion, having increased by 66 % in comparison with the last year. Thus, the goal of bilateral commodity turnover of $10 billion set by the leaders of two states for 2010 was achieved three years prior to the scheduled period. This year the government of Kazakhstan and China plan to increase this parameter up to $15 billion.
