Inflation in Kazakhstan should not exceed 10 % - Ministry of Economics
Astana. April 15. Kazakhstan Today - Following the results of the year, inflation in Kazakhstan should not exceed 10 %. The Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning Bakhyt Sultanov said today, the agency reports.
"Inflation is affected by several factors, in particular, those measures that we undertook for maintenance of food safety," the Minister emphasized.
He reminded that the government undertook additional measures on support of agriculture (agrarian and industrial complex)" as the situation in the international markets of foodstuffs requires."
"Those resources that have been allocated in the first quarter for support of economy and support of agrarian and industrial complex will allow us to affect restraint of rise in prices on fruit-and-vegetable production this year," the Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning considers.
As it was informed earlier, the government this year adopted the decree on allocation for agrarian sector additional funds at the rate of 64 billion KZT, 40.9 billion KZT from which are directed at replenishment of the authorized capital and crediting of the affiliated companies of the National Holding KazAgro. 17.2 more billion KZT is intended for subsidizing of priority directions of development of agrarian and industrial complex and 6 billion KZT is allocated for additional purchase of grains to the state resources. Kazyna allocates 24 billion KZT through the banks of the second level for target crediting of agrarian and industrial complex to compensate the deficit of credit resources arisen owing to the situation in the banking sector.
