EU finances 3 million euro project to support promotion of reforms and increase of competitiveness in Kazakhstan
Astana. April 16. Kazakhstan Today - The European Union allocates 3 million euro for realization of the project Assistance to Development of the Strategic Dialogue and the Program of Consultations in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The chairman of the representation of the European Commission in Central Asia Andrian Van der Meer informed at the press conference on Tuesday, the agency reports.
He explained that the objective of the project is rendering support in promotion of reforms and increase of competitiveness of the country through consultations and exchange of knowledge.
The chairman of the representation of the European Commission noted that "within the project EU plans to assist Kazakhstan in development of new Tax Code.
In his turn, Vice Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning Marat Kusainov emphasized that "the government of Kazakhstan is interested in realization of the project as the recommendations of the experts will be used for development of the state policy."
The project is planned to be finished in 2011.
