Almaty. April 28. Kazakhstan Today - Influence of mass media may sometimes be very dangerous for financial markets. The chairman of the State Duma Property Committee of the Russian Federation Victor Pleskachevsky expressed his opinion during the round table - Epoch of instability of the world financial system taken place within the VII Eurasian media forum on Thursday, the agency reports. "I would like to share some approaches on how to regulate these relations. The first approach concerns increase of responsibility of mass media for doubtful or erroneous information ... some countries refused advertising financial services in order to increase reliability," he added. The editor of Time magazine in Europe, the Near East and Africa William Green also agreed that "sometimes the markets excessively react to mass media publications." "But partially all this is caused by the fact that management of banks and companies that strongly react to crisis, is inclined to denying problems or crisis," he considers. According to EBRD Director in Kazakhstan Andre Kuusvek, "Kazakhstan economy has a concentrated character. As a rule, mass media in Kazakhstan are a part of these conglomerates ... more biases and restrictions."
