Kazakhstan, Georgia hold negotiations on increase of transportation of Caspian oil - Bozumbayev

Astana. April 28. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan negotiates with Georgia for an opportunity of increase of transportation of the Caspian oil through its territory. The chairman of the State holding Samruk Kanat Bozumbayev informed on Friday in the interview after the meeting with the Minister of Economic Development of Georgia Ekaterina Sharashidze, the agency reports. "We are holding negotiations with Georgia concerning an opportunity of transportation of the Kazakhstan mineral oil to the world markets. First of all, it concerns the questions of railway and management of oil pipelines," K. Bozumbayev said. Kazakhstan is interested "in the infrastructure of Georgia to delivery Kazakhstan oil to consumers in the countries bordering the Black Sea." If Kazakhstan has an opportunity to deliver tens millions tons of oil a year at a rather low cost of transportation in this direction, the Georgian party will receive a significant sum for transit," Samruk chairman considers. K. Bozumbayev emphasized that the parties have not reached any concrete arrangements yet. He informed of the intention of KazMunaiGas Company to use all capacities of oil terminal in Batumi to export Kazakhstan oil."
