Industry Ministry forbade resale of product safety certificates - Shkolnik
Astana. May 7. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan has forbidden resale of product safety certificates. The Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan Vladimir Shkolnik informed on Tuesday during the government session, the agency reports.
"During the Internet-conference concerning development of small and medium business there were asked many questions regarding difficulties with confirmation of safety of food products in the sphere of retail trade. Businessmen complain that certificates are very expensive, their final price reaches 1000 KZT for a copy, the term of their validity is limited, therefore, retail trade cannot buy enough of them, for each name of the goods," V. Shkolnik reminded.
"The reason is that wholesalers resell copies of certificates by several times more expensive," he explained.
"Since May 1, the Ministry of Industry accepted the decree forbidding resale of certificates and now small and average businesses can receive them in necessary quantities free-of-charge," Industry Minister emphasized.
