Astana. May 14. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan Agency on regulation of activities of Almaty Regional Financial Center plans to reform Kazakhstan stock exchange. The chairman of Kazakhstan Agency on regulation of activities of Almaty Regional Financial Center Arken Arystanov informed on Tuesday during the meeting with the Senate deputies, the agency reports.
"We have agreed that we will purchase a share holding belonging now to the National Bank in the Kazakhstan stock exchange to have participation of the state," A. Arystanov said.
The chairman of the Agency on regulation of activities of Almaty Regional Financial Center reminded that "last year the amendments were introduced to the law that allowed stock exchange to become a commercial organization." "The year has passed and unfortunately the stock exchange could not finish all procedures on public distribution of shares," he explained.
"However, we have managed to develop the strategy and the code of corporate management for the first time," A. Arystanov added.
