Kazakhstan to create legislative base for production of renewable energy sources

Almaty. May 26. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan needs to create legislative base for manufacture of renewable energy sources. The first vice chairman of the board of Samruk-Energy Company Esbergen Abitayev informed in the interview on Friday, the agency reports. "We need to develop the law that allows involving the mechanism of energy renewal as electric power produced at such stations is more expensive than in coal stations, E. Abitayev emphasized. According to the power engineer, Kazakhstan possesses huge potential of hydro resources and wind energy. But high cost of manufacture of renewable energy depends on enormous expenses for creation of necessary constructions. "There should be a support of the state, privileges, and tax preferences. We could provide investors with land on favorable terms. If we sell land for Almaty prices, this station will be very expensive. We have already begun working over this issue.
