Prices for food in Kazakhstan in May grew by 28.3 %
Astana. June 3. Kazakhstan Today - Prices for food in May, 2008 in Kazakhstan grew by 28.3 %, the agency reports referring to Kazakhstan Statistics Agency.
In particular, according to Kazakhstan Statistics Agency, "in May, 2008, in comparison with the corresponding month of 2007, price for flour increased by 77.7 %, bread - by 45.1 %, groats - by 14.3 %."
Prices for oil and fat increased by 64.8 %, dairy products and eggs - by 33.6 %. Prices for fruit grew by 29 %, vegetables - by 20.9 %, and confectionery products - by 15 %, Kazakhstan Statistics Agency informs.
"Increase of prices for meat and meat products during this period made 23.3 %, fish and sea food - by 17.2 %. Prices for poultry grew by 30.3 %, horse meat - by 29.6 %, mutton - by 21.6 %, sausages - by 20.6 %, and pork - by 17.6 %," Kazakhstan Statistics Agency informs.
