Kazakhstan to create attractive investment environment in electro power industry - Nazarbayev
Atyrau. June 6. Kazakhstan Today - Attractive investment environment in electro power industry needs to be created in Kazakhstan. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said today at the 19th plenary session of Foreign Investors Council, the agency reports.
"Last year has shown that such state of affairs can become a serious obstacle for further growth of the industry, economy diversification, and increase of standard of living of the population. The time has come to increase energy capacities both due to construction of new and modernization of the existing stations," the leader of the state continued.
"Construction and launch of Balhash Heating Electro Station, Moynak Hydroelectric Power Station, expansion of Ekibastuz state district power station-1 and the state district power station-2, Aksus state district power station will considerably increase our energy supply. However, for realization of such big projects we need to create attractive investment environment in electric power industry," he emphasized.
In the opinion of the President of Kazakhstan, mutual obligations between investors and the state should become "firm base of state-private partnership."
