KAZINFORM /Serik Kozhkenov/ - “It is planned to realize a wide range of investment projects to the amount of KZT 3.4 trillion and several projects on the concessional basis to the amount of KZT 500 bln within the framework of the Kazakhstan Transport Strategy until 2015”, Zhenis Kassymbek, the Vice Minister of Transport and Communications, told during the meeting with the deputies of the Kazakh Senate Committee for regional and sectoral development. According to the Minister, 1600 km of railway districts will be constructed and 2700 km will be electrified. A number of projects for construction, repair, rehabilitation of the railways and widening and modernization of port infrastructure, further development of civil aviation was realized within the framework of the strategy.
