Nazarbayev received chairman of Asia Society Richard Holbrooke
Astana. June 13. Kazakhstan Today - Today the leader of the state Nursultan Nazarbayev received the chairman of the Asia Society Richard Holbrooke, the agency reports referring to the president's press service.
According to the press service, R. Holbrook told to the leader of the state about the results of Asia Society's 2nd International Conference held today in Astana.
"I would like to express my gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev for the opportunity given to the Asia Society to hold 2nd International Conference on investment cooperation in Astana. In my opinion, investment climate in Kazakhstan is very favorable. The President emphasized during our meeting that foreign companies should invest not only in energy sector, but also in other branches of economy of Kazakhstan," R. Holbrook said at the briefing.
As it was informed earlier, Asia Society was founded in 1956 as a noncommercial educational organization working to establish mutual understanding between people of the United States of America and the countries of the Asian-Pacific region. The headquarters of the society is in New York. The activity of the society is realized within the programs in the spheres of art, culture, policy and business.
In June, 2005 Asia Society organized in Almaty International Business-Conference - Kazakhstan Draws a New Wave of Investments: Strategies of Diversification and Sustainable Growth.
