Government prepared bill On Competition expanding powers of Agency for Competition Protection - Shukeev
Astana. June 20. Kazakhstan Today - The government of Kazakhstan has prepared the bill On Competition that expands powers of Agency for Protection of Competition. Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Umirzak Shukeev informed at the extended session of Parliamentary Faction of Nur Otan Party on Thursday, the agency reports.
"We prepare the document, which has been already developed, and it will be soon brought to the Parliament. It is the Law on Competition," he said. U. Shukeev explained that "the bill provides for conceptual regulations ensuring protection of competition in the country." "It establishes a barrier to actions limiting competition, including from the state," he emphasized.
"The Agency for Competition Protection will be given all the necessary functions to protect competition, such as coordination of all normative-legal acts concerning competition and analysis of the market of the country for competition restriction," U. Shukeev specified.
"The bill defines concepts of anticompetitive coordinated actions, interdictions on establishment of exclusively high and monopsonic low prices," he concluded.
