Fund of stressful assets to be created in Kazakhstan

Astana. July 21. Kazakhstan Today - Fund of stressful assets will be created in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan Prime Minister, Karim Masimov, informed today during the government meeting, the agency reports. "The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economics and the Ministry of Justice along with the National Bank and Financial Supervisory Agency are charged to make a proposal on creation of fund of stressful assets within a week," K. Masimov said. Making comments on this government decision, Vice General Director of KzRating/GlobalRating, Denis Rybalkin, considers that a mechanism will be created which will improve quality of assets of commercial banks. "As of today's position, I think, that it is one of the mechanisms which reflects efforts of the state on stabilization of the situation in the banking system. These efforts, most likely, are directed at future of the financial market of the Republic. It will positively affect the future of the banking sector of Kazakhstan," he emphasized.
