Kazakhstan Today - Number of registered unemployed, as of July 1, 2008, in Kazakhstan has made 31.4 thousand people as compared to 74.4 thousand, as of July 1, 2007, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic. "As of July 1, 2008 number of registered unemployed has made 31.4 thousand people (on July 1, 2007 - 74.4 thousand people), in comparison with the similar period of the last year number of registered unemployed has significantly reduced in employment organizations of all regions, except for Almaty, Southern Kazakhstan oblast and Astana," the message widespread on Monday, following the results of the republican selector meeting states where the results of the first half-year were summed up and the objectives on realization of assignments of the President of Kazakhstan concerning domestic policy have been defined. Special emphasis in regards to solution of unemployment problem among citizens the Ministry makes on retraining and improvement of professional skills of the staff.
