Almaty akimat summed up social and economic development of city for the first half-year

Almaty. July 23. Kazakhstan Today - Almaty akimat summed up social and economic development of the city for the first half-year, the agency reports referring to the press service of akim of the city. According to the press service, following the results of execution of the budget, "profits for the first half of 2008 made 90 billion 588 million KZT with the plan of 89 billion 987 million KZT, or 100.7 %. The receipts have made 51.3 % to the annual plan. Transfers of the sum of 35 billion 841.3 million KZT and credits for the sum of 466 million KZT have been received from the republican budget. According to the press service of akimat, manufacture of industrial products in the first half of the 2008 has faced recession by 9.1 %. Volume of investments has grown by 0.2 %. From the beginning of the year growth of export-import transactions has made 27.2 %. Commissioning of housing has decreased by 32 %. 22 billion tenge has been allocated from the republican budget in 2008 for construction of objects with participation of equity holders. Realization of a three-year housing development program for 2008 - 2010 has begun. 3648 apartments are planned to be constructed in Almaty. 190 apartments have been already commissioned. 1430 more apartments are planned to be constructed up to the end of the year, the total area of which is 87 thousand square meters. The budget of the city for 2008 makes 200.5 billion KZT. Expenses for social sphere make 74.2 billion KZT that in by 1.3 times more than last year.
