Ratio of tax revenue to GDP for five months 2008 grown by 1.7 percentage points - up to 25.6 %
Astana. August 1. Kazakhstan Today - Ratio of tax revenues to GDP within five months 2008, in comparison with the similar period of the last year, has grown by 1.7 percentage points - up to 25.6 %. The Ministry of Finance, chairman of tax committee of the Ministry of Finance, Nurlan Rahmetov informed at the meeting on Thursday, the agency reports.
"Ratio of tax revenue to GDP for five months of 2008 has grown, in comparison with the similar period of the last year, by 1.7 percentage points and has made 25.6 % against 23.9 %, despite of reduction of VAT rates and social tax," N. Rahmetov said.
The chairman of tax committee considers that "achievement of the target indicator following the results of the year - increase by 1 percentage point of the ration of tax revenue to GDP due to improvement of tax administration - is quite realizable."
