Astana. August 7. Kazakhstan Today - Rate of inflation in January - June of 2008 by December of the last year has made 5.7 %. The Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning, Bahyt Sultanov, informed during the expanded government session on Wednesday, the agency reports. "Rate of inflation in January - June of the current year by December of the last year has made 5.7 % that is by 1.1 % higher than for the similar period of the last year. In July growth of inflation has made 0.9 %," B. Sultanov informed. Proceeding growth of world prices for food and power goods, external inflationary pressure from the frontier states alongside with internal factors continue to influence inflationary processes in Kazakhstan. "The government along with the National Bank and local agencies have taken measures on restraining inflation at the level not exceeding 10 % a year," the Minister said.
