Kazakhstan Today - The session of the State Commission concerning modernization of economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place today under the presidency of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov. The participants discussed the course of realization of the second direction of the program of 30 corporate leaders of Kazakhstan, the agency reports referring to the prime minister's press service. According to the press service, the members of the State Commission discussed the ways of activization of realization of the program and participation in it of social-enterprise corporations. According to the Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning of Kazakhstan, Bahyt Sultanov, the work is being done in two directions. This is consideration of business initiatives on realization of large investment projects on realization of large investment projects with provision of the specific measures of state support and development of the state initiatives on defining priority in non-raw sectors of economy and formation of conditions for business development. According to the prime minister's press service, the base list of 45 important projects accepted for realization is being created now. "It has been proposed to include the project of Arcelor Mittal Company on development and modernization of manufacture of steel with production of up to 10 million tons annually. Following the results of the session of the State Commission, Kazakhstan Prime Minister charged to strengthen the work on further development of industrially-innovative infrastructure. Socially-enterprise corporations and Fund of Steady Development Kazyna should define specialization of seven macro regions within a month.
