Prime Minister charged Arcelor Mittal to finish project on development and modernizations of the company
Almaty. August 20. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, during the meeting concerning development and modernizations of production of JSC Company Arcelor Mittal Temirtau charged the company to finish technological part of the project Development and Modernization of JSC Company Arcelor Mittal Temirtau to achieve output of 10 million tons of steel a year by 2014, the agency reports referring to the press service the prime minister of Kazakhstan.
According to the press service, today the members of the working group reported K. Masimov on completion of development of the plan of measures on realization of the project.
"The plan includes the questions of expansion of mineral-raw-material base, development of metallurgical manufacture, engineering infrastructure, power and water-economic complexes, and realization of some social projects. JSC Company Fund of Steady Development Kazyna has applied with the project for participation in the program of 30 corporate leaders of Kazakhstan, the press release informs.
Following the results of the meeting, the Prime Minister charged to finish a technological part of the plan, including the questions of allocation of land, power supply, and water delivery, development of transport infrastructure and preparations of the necessary raw-material base.
The participants of the session noted that realization of the project will give an impulse to development of ferrous metallurgy in Kazakhstan, to expansion of ore base and receiving of products with higher added cost, the press service informed.
