Kazakhstan, India to strengthen energy cooperation - Indian MFA
Almaty. August 26. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and India plan to strengthen cooperation in the field of energy. The State Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, Anand Sharma, informed after the negotiations with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Marat Tazhin, on Monday, the agency reports.
"During the meeting with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan the State Minister discussed the questions, including those of mutual interest for India and Kazakhstan. We will increase cooperation in such areas, as energy, energy security, alternative energy sources, science and technologies, nuclear science, information technologies and education," A. Sharma said.
The representatives of foreign policy departments of other Asian states made a number of statements. M. Tazhin held the meeting with the representatives of foreign policy departments after the session of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICMA). The ministers noted significant role of CICMA on the international scene and readiness of CICMA member countries for further cooperation development within the organization.
