Volumes of extraction of natural gas to reach 42 billion cubic meters by 2010 - Mynbayev

Astana. September 5. Kazakhstan Today - Volumes of extraction of natural gas in Kazakhstan will reach 42 billion of cubic meters by 2010. The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Sauat Mynbayev, said during III Eurasian Energy Forum KazEnergy on Global challenges - energy solutions on Thursday, the agency reports. "Following the results of 2007, we have extracted 29.6 billion cubic meters, but forecasted volumes of extraction of crude gas by 2010 will make 42 billion cubic meters and by 2015 - 62 billion cubic meters," S. Mynbayev said. However, as he said, manufacture of commodity gas, as a rule, is twice as little. According to the Minister, the explored estimated stocks of natural gas taking into account new deposits make nearly 3.3 trillion cubic meters and potential resources reach 6.8 trillion cubic meters. This is 1.7 % of world natural stocks of gas.
