Almaty. September 10. Kazakhstan Today - Cumulative real growth of economy of the Central Asian countries made about 10 % for the last five years. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, informed during the conference - Central Asia. Investment Opportunities. New Silk Way on Tuesday, the agency reports. "The Central Asian region has already taken special place in the system of economic relations of all Eurasian space. Over the last five years cumulative real growth of the economy of the Central Asian countries totaled about 10 %. Last year total GDP of the countries of our region reached $160 billion," K. Masimov said. According to the Prime Minister, "the economic potential of our region is a major factor that defines its enormous investment opportunities." "Our region is ready to take advantage of new economic tendencies and expected international investment flows," the Prime Minister emphasized. The economies of the countries of the region are characterized by a high level of cooperation among themselves. This cooperation gives significant potential for growth and increases well-being. We believe that successes of the Kazakhstan economic reforms will play a key role in expansion of this cooperation, giving an additional level of investment security in the whole region," the Prime Minister concluded.
