Inflation in Kazakhstan forecasted in interval 7.5 - 9.5 % in 2009 and will decrease to 6.5 - 8.7 % in 2011 - Sultanov
Astana. September 11. Kazakhstan Today - In 2009 inflation in Kazakhstan has been forecasted in the interval 7.5 - 9.5 % and will decrease up to 6.5 - 8.7 % in 2011. The Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning of Kazakhstan, Bahyt Sultanov, informed today during presentation of the bill on the Republican budget for 2009 - 2011 in Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.
"Consumer price index is forecasted in the interval 7.5 - 9.5 % in 2009 with the subsequent decrease up to 6.5 - 8.7 % in 2011," B. Sultanov said. "The calculated KZT rate to US dollar on average will make 124 KZT," he noted.
The explanatory note to the bill on the Republican budget for 2009 - 2011 reminded that in 2007 the parameter of consumer price index in Kazakhstan made 18.8 % and specifies that in 2010 inflation in the country is forecasted to be at the level of 7 - 9 %. In 2008, according to the Ministry of Economics, inflation in Kazakhstan will reach 7.9 - 9.9 %.
Thus, the rate of KZT to US dollar on average for a year is forecasted at the level 121.5 KZT for a dollar in 2008, 123.5 KZT for a dollar in 2009 and 124 KZT for a dollar in 2010 and 2011. "Rate of KZT to dollar on average for a year made in 2007 122.6 KZT," the explanatory note reminds.
