Aktobe. September 23. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and Russia commodity turnover has made almost $12 billion for 7 months of 2008. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said at V International forum of the leaders of frontier territories of Kazakhstan and Russia on Monday, the agency reports.
"It is by 32 % more in comparison with the similar period of the last year," the leader of the state said.
The leader of the state noted that growth of commodity turnover occurs on the background of global crises. "While many countries experience economic difficulties ... our countries today demonstrate stability. The world financial economic crisis has been a new challenge for our economy. The consequences are not clear yet. Our joint cooperation acquires even more actuality providing protection against negative influence of external factors," N. Nazarbayev said.
