Kazakhstan to export 5.5 - 6 million tons of grain in 2008 - Agriculture Ministry
Astana. September 23 Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan in 2008 will export 5.5 - 6 million tons of grain. The Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Akylbek Kurishbayev, informed during the governmental hour in Parliament of Kazakhstan on Monday, the agency reports.
"Forecasted gross harvest will allow us to completely satisfy the internal demand of the country and to export nearly 5.5 - 6 million tons of grain to the world markets," A. Kurishbayev said.
As it was informed earlier, total grain yield current to year is forecasted in the Republic within the limits of 17 million tons of grain in bunker weight. Last year crop in bunker weight made 22 million tons.
