Almaty. September 26. Kazakhstan Today - The official rate of refinancing in Kazakhstan since October 1, 2008 will remain at the level of 10.5 % annual, the agency reports referring to the message of the press service of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. "According to the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the board of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan decided to establish since October 1, 2008 the official rate of refinancing of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the level of 10.5 % annual, having kept it at the former level," the press release of the bank informs. Keeping the same official rate of refinancing demonstrates confidence of the National Bank in decrease of inflationary pressure in the level of 10.5 % and is a signal for the financial market about stabilization of the situation in the market," the National Bank informs. "In the remaining months of 2008 the National Bank expects that the level of monthly inflation will be below in comparison with the corresponding parameters of 2007. It will promote significant slowing down of annual inflation up to the end of 2008 with the further decrease in 2009," the message informs. As it was informed earlier, last time the official rate of refinancing was lowered since July 1, 2008.
