Kazakh Leader, the US Assistant Secretary discussed regional security issues
ASTANA. February 27. KAZINFORM. /Dina Yermaganbetova/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the US Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Richard Boucher have debated today the regional security issues.
:We have touched upon the regional stability, security cooperation issues, and antiterrorist collaboration, drug control and told also about our support to preserving stability in Afghanistan," R. Boucher told a briefing.
He has once again underlined that Kazakhstan and the US are strategic partners. Last year the commodity turnover between the states reached USD 1.6 bln. The volume of the American investments infused into Kazakhstan since 1993 has made USD 13.8 bln, that is 30% of the total amount of the foreign investments.
