Prices for oil to grow in intermediate term and long-term period - Mynbayev
Almaty. October 8. Kazakhstan Today - Prices for oil in the intermediate term and long-term periods will grow. The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Sauat Mynbayev, informed during the press conference of the 16th Kazakhstan international exhibition Oil and Gas - KIOGE 2008 on Tuesday, the agency reports.
"Prices grow and fall down. Now they are not the highest, though, as a whole, the price level is high enough - more than $90 for a barrel," he noted.
According to the Energy Minister, short-term, intermediate term and long-term tendencies influence prices for oil. "As for short-term prospects, much is going on in the world: the markets fall, I mean financial markets. It will affect prices, in our opinion, in spasmodic way," the Minister explained.
Oil-and-gas forum has been held for 16 years in Kazakhstan.
