$500 million to be invested into chemical branch next year - Nazarbayev

Astana. October 14. Kazakhstan Today - $500 million will be invested into chemical branch next year. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said at the expanded government session on Monday, the agency reports. "$500 million will be invested in 2009 into chemical branch," N. Nazarbayev said. "Having the hugest world reserves of phosphorite, enough of nitric fertilizers, Kazakhstan can open the new economy, new opportunities," the leader of the state noted. "Considering that demand for this production is very big ... we use only 200 thousand tons, whereas consumption by China and India - 600 million tons and our needs - 2.5 million tons," he noted. "There will be created 15 thousand new work places in chemical branch," N. Nazarbayev added.
