Kazakhstan has sufficient reserves to safely go through world economic crisis - Nazarbayev
Astana. October 17. Kazakhstan Today - The state has sufficient reserves to go through the present world economic crisis. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said in the interview to domestic telechannels on Thursday, the agency reports.
"The state has sufficient reserves today to survive this crisis. Crises happen and come to an end and we need to go through them," N. Nazarbayev said.
"The National fund has been created in the country that has been accumulating profit from sales of raw materials. We have saved up enough reserves. Gold and exchange currency reserve and the national fund of the country exceed $51 billion. Due to these means we will realize social programs and support well-being of our citizens. I mean pensions and wages," he continued.
"Besides, we support victims of share construction, building sector, and small and medium business," the leader of the state concluded.
