Iran, Qatar and Russia reached agreement on creation gas OPEC - Minister of Oil of Iran
Almaty. October 22. Kazakhstan Today - Iran, Qatar and Russia reached the agreement on creating gas OPEC, the agency reports referring to the Russian information-analytical portal Oil of Russia.
"During the meeting we made the important decisions. There is a need for creation of gas OPEC and the agreement on its creation has been reached," the Minister of Oil of Iran, Gholam Hossein Nozari, informed after the tripartite negotiations with participation of the Minister of Oil of Qatar and Gazprom chairman, Alexey Miller.
As it was informed earlier, Russia, Iran and other gas extracting countries, such as Qatar, Venezuela, Nigeria and Algeria have held the meetings within the limits of informal club of the countries that became the beginning of negotiations on creation of the gas organization similar to OPEC. The opponents of such an organization are the USA and the European Union that consider that creation of gas OPEC will threaten power security of the whole world and will manipulate prices.
