Astana. October 23. Kazakhstan Today - Agrarian sector of the Republic is on the second place by its investment efficiency after oil extraction. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, read the text of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, to the participants of the first international agrarian investment forum Agroinvest.KZ - 2008, the agency reports. "According to World Bank, the agrarian sector of the Republic is on the second, after oil extraction place by efficiency of investments, with growth of the world prices for agricultural products this branch becomes more and more attractive to capital investments," the text states. "Natural-climatic conditions of Kazakhstan allow not only providing its population with the basic kinds of food stuffs, but also exporting significant volumes of foodstuffs to foreign markets," the leader of the state said. "Unique characteristics of Kazakhstan wheat and huge potential for development of animal industries are the bases for steady development of agriculture of the Republic," the President considers.
