Astana. October 31. Kazakhstan Today - Volume of mutual trade between Kazakhstan and China in 2008 will reach $15 billion. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, stated today during the negotiations with the Prime Minister of the State Council of the Peoples Republic of China, Wen Jiabao, the agency reports.
"For the first half of 2008 commodity turnover has made $6.5 billion, with growth of 25 % compared with the last year. We expect to achieve 15 milliard of commodity turnover this year," N. Nazarbayev said.
"Our countries do not have any obstacles for political and economic cooperation." "Owing to it every year trade between our countries grows significantly," N. Nazarbayev noted.
According to Kazakhstan President, "Kazakhstan and the Peoples Republic of China, our neighbor and strategic partner, we have special close relations."
The leader of the state expressed confidence that the first visit of Wen Jiabao to Kazakhstan as the chairman of the State Council of China will give a new impulse to cooperation at a very high level and the parties will agree on new steps in economic cooperation.
