Government to pursue policy of protection of national interests in raw sector of economy - Masimov

Astana. November 3. Kazakhstan Today - The government of Kazakhstan plans to pursue a policy of protection of the national interests in the raw sector of the economy. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, informed today addressing the Senators, the agency reports. "The negotiations on Kashagan deposit have finished with acceptance of conditions favorable for our country ... New arrangements on Kashagan will have big social effect for improvement of well-being of the population," K. Masimov reminded. "Despite of unprecedented lobbyist pressure from the outside, the authority has provided national interests of the country, remaining within the limits of the current legislation and international standards," the Prime Minister continued. "The government will further pursue a policy of protection of the national interests in the raw sector of the economy," the Prime Minister stated. In his opinion, in this context it is necessary to consider the negotiations concerning companies Bogatyr Access Komir, MangistauMunaiGas, and already taken place returning under the control of the state of three oil refining factories in Kazakhstan. "Kazakhstan has been adherent to stability of contracts. However, they in equal measure should be observed by all parties. Adhering to this position, we can receive maximum feedback from the presence of the state in the raw sector," K. Masimov concluded.
