President of Kazakhstan met chairman of Council of Association of Kazakhstan's Financiers and chairman of National Bank

Astana. November 6. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, met the chairman of the Council of the Association of Kazakhstan's Financiers, Serik Ahanov, and the chairman of the National Bank, Anvar Saydenov, the agency reports referring to the president's press service. According to the press service, S. Ahanov informed the President on efficiency of measures on maintenance of stability of financial sector and improvement of state-private partnership. On behalf of Association of Financiers he thanked the leader of the state for support to the Kazakhstan banking sector in conditions of world financial crisis. "These are very constructive measures and real help in realization of those goals that you have set to maintain stability of financial sector. This complex of measures will play positive role," S. Ahanov noted. During the meeting the leader of the state emphasized that world financial crisis proceeds, but, despite of it, the economy of Kazakhstan should develop. In these conditions the country does everything to minimize the consequences of world financial crisis for the economy of Kazakhstan, the press service informs. As it was informed earlier, on behalf of the President the government purchased a part of shares in four largest banks of Kazakhstan. "The President set three objectives for the bankers: to increase crediting of economy; to continue to finance projects in the field of industrialization and innovations; continue crediting of small and medium business. The leader of the state noted that it should give additional confidence to investors, citizens and to show Kazakhstan citizens that in conditions of world financial crisis the state incurs wider functions on regulation of the banking sector of the country," the press release informs. "As a whole, the President assessed the banking system of Kazakhstan as positive," the message emphasizes.
