Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev appointed Minister of Health of Kazakhstan

Astana. November 20. Kazakhstan Today - Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev has been appointed the Minister of Health of Kazakhstan, the prime minister's press service informed the agency. As it was informed earlier, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, made a decision on dismissal of some officials in the public health services system. "The leader of the state signed the decree on dismissal of Dernovoy Anatoly Grigorevich from the post of Minister of Health in connection with transfer to the other work," K. Masimov said during introduction of the new minister to the staff of the Ministry of Health. Z. Doskaliev graduated from Aktobe State Medical Institute. He is Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Kazakhstan, the winner of the State premium of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of science, technology and education. In 1998 - 2000 he worked as the rector of the Aktobe Medical Academy. In 2000 he was appointed chairman of Agency of Public Health Services of Kazakhstan. In October, 2001 he headed the Ministry of Health. After leaving the Ministry of Health Z. Doskaliyev held the post of rector of Kazakh State Medical Academy. Since September 2, 2007 he has been deputy of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan.
