Subsoil users fail to follow conditions of memorandum on increase of purchase of Kazakh goods - Minister of Industry

Astana. November 21. Kazakhstan Today - The Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Schkolnik, considers that subsoil users and domestic producers have not fulfilled conditions of the memorandum on increase of purchase of Kazakh goods. The Minister of Industry, Vladimir Schkolnik, stated today during the republican conference - Development of domestic machinery construction: increase of purchase of Kazakhstan goods," the agency reports. "The Ministry of Industry and Commerce and a group of companies signed the memos on March 31, 2006 on realization of initiative of transparency of natural resources users purchase activity, which were signed by 21 oil, 22 mining companies, and 23 domestic companies, on development of local content on service market of natural resources use, which was signed by 26 oil companies, 21 mining companies and 45 domestic producers," V. The Industry Minister stated that "there is some increase of purchase of Kazakh goods by subsoil users, but no one controls observance of these memoranda and fulfills their obligations: neither subsoil users nor ministry officials." ***** Industry Ministry developed measures on development of domestic machinery construction - Schkolnik Astana. November 21. Kazakhstan Today - Industry Ministry developed a number of measures on development of domestic machinery construction. The Industry and Commerce Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Schkolnik, said today during the republican conference - Development of domestic machinery construction: increase of purchase of Kazakhstan goods, the agency reports. "The Ministry worked out and introduced to the government complex of measures of state support on development of domestic machinery construction," V. Schkolnik said. According to V. Schkolnik, grants for acquiring of advanced technologies in Kazakhstan and abroad as well as development of infrastructure for commercialization and transfer of technologies are the state support measures included in this complex and aimed at renovation of the basic resources of enterprises. "Budget funds of 15 billion KZT including 5 billion KZT for 2009 have been allocated in the program of technological development till 2015 for organization of equipment leasing in machinery construction," Industry Minister stated. He also reminded that significant measures for support of processing industry, including machinery, have been considered in the new draft of Tax Code, which will come into force since January 1, 2009.
