Kazakhstan insisted on level of import customs duties

Astana. December 3. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan has insisted on the level of import customs duties, protecting the interests of domestic manufacturers after the introduction into World Trade Organization (WTO). Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan, Zhanar Aytzhanova, said at the government session on Tuesday, the agency reports. "Kazakhstan has insisted on the level of import customs duties, which will allow protecting domestic manufacturers of goods. Manufacture of domestic producers has been set going or is planned in the future, despite the existing hypothesis that as a result of decrease or lifting of these duties after introduction to WTO, import of foreign goods will increase and replace the domestic goods in the Kazakhstan market," Z. Aytzhanova said.
