Volume of investments into Kazakhstan in 2009 to reach 21 billion KZT
Astana. December 11. Kazakhstan Today - The General Director of JSC Company Arcelor Mittal Temirtau, Franc Pannier, informed at the press conference in Astana on Wednesday that volume of investments into Kazakhstan in 2009 will make 21 billion KZT, the agency reports.
"The company continues investments into development of the enterprise's steel, coal and iron-ore departments," he said. "According to the preliminary data, volume of capital investments into Kazakhstan next year will be 21 billion KZT," he added.
"This sum will allow, alongside with other actions, carrying out of the program of updating of technology in collieries and implementing a complex of measures on maintenance of safe working conditions," he explained.
"We do not lay off our employees, but we will have to reduce working hours. We will transfer those employees who worked in shops to repair services so that they work on improvement of safety precautions and manufacturing culture, and so on," the General Director of the company said.
