Astana. December 18. Kazakhstan Today - The forecast of oil extraction in Kazakhstan for 2009 remains unchanged. The Minister of Economy and Budgetary Planning of Kazakhstan, Bahyt Sultanov, informed in the interview to journalists, the agency reports.
"We have kept it at 70 million tons," B. Sultanov said, answering the question whether the plans of Kazakhstan on oil extraction for 2009 have changed in connection with decrease of the similar parameter by the OPEC countries.
According to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan, Sauat Mynbayev, Kazakhstan "did not carry out any coordinated policy with OPEC in this respect." "We do not have any specific decisions on volumes of reduction of oil at the moment," Energy Minister said.
