Kazakhstan to continue strategic way towards economy diversification
Astana. December 18. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, stated that Kazakhstan needs to continue a strategic way towards diversification of its national economy. N. Nazarbayev said on Monday in Astana at the solemn meeting devoted to Independence Day, the agency reports.
"We need to continue our strategic way towards diversification of our economy, therefore, the government within the limits of the strategic plan has allocated 120 billion KZT for realization of the important projects," N. Nazarbayev said.
"The most important issue is development of the infrastructure. 700 billion KZT have been allocated in the three-year budget for development of the transport infrastructure," he noted.
The President informed that construction of the Kazakhstan site of the largest highway - Western China - Western Europe will begin next year that will cost 800 billion KZT. "In 2009 we will allocate to the oblasts for mobilization of the engineering-communication infrastructure 160 million KZT," N. Nazarbayev said.
