Kazakhstan to increase export of wheat and black oil to Tajikistan
Dushanbe. December 22. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan will increase export of wheat and black oil to Tajikistan this winter, the agency reports with reference to Asia-Plus.
According to the press service of the President of Tajikistan, on Friday during the meeting of the Presidents of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, during the informal summit of the leaders of the states in Borovoy the heads of the states made a decision to develop and strengthen integration processes in order to mitigate the consequences of the financial crisis. It has been decided that during the winter period 2008 - 2009 Kazakhstan will increase export of wheat and black oil to Tajikistan.
During the meeting the parties assessed the level of strategic relations between two countries as satisfactory and decided to increase Kazakh investments into the economy of Tajikistan, in particular, in construction of the joint industrial enterprise, small hydroelectric power station on the river Vakhsh.
N. Nazarbayev and E. Rahmon discussed joint integration of the countries within the CIS, CSTO, and EurAsEC, regional safety, and the situation in Afghanistan.
