Foreign trade turnover in January - October, 2008 grew by 45 %

Kazakhstan Today - According to Committee of Customs Control of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan, not taking into account unorganized commerce, in January - October, 2008 totaled $93 billion 679.5 million and in comparison with the similar period of 2007 has increased by 44.7 %, the agency reports with reference to Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan.
The export has reached $62 billion 374.2 million, having increased by 64.6 % and import (taking into account the expenses on transportation and insurance) - $31 billion 305.3 million, having increased by 16.7 %.
"The main buyers of Kazakhstan products are: Italy (17.2 %), Switzerland (16 %), China (10.3 %), the Russian Federation (8.9 %), France (7.5 %), the Netherlands (6.4 %), Israel (3.2 %), Iran, Ukraine (2.9 %), Turkey (2.6 %). The share of the CIS countries in total amount of export for the analyzed period has reached 15.6 % (in January - October, 2007 - 16.6 %)," the message states.
According to the Statistics Agency, in total amount of import the investment goods in January - October, 2008 have reached $14 billion 786.5 million, or 47.2 % (in January - October, 2007 - $12 billion 323.8 million, or 45.9 %).
