Nazarbayev signed order forbidding state bodies excessive budget expenditures in 2009

Astana. January 8. Kazakhstan Today - The leader of the state has signed the order forbidding the state bodies excessive expenditure from the budget in 2009. The Majilis Speaker, Ural Muhamedzhanov, informed today during the plenary session of the Lower Chamber of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, the agency reports. "According to the order of the head of the state, the parliamentary faction of Nur Otan Party will hear the reports of the government members on a regular basis. All the state bodies will need to maintain the regime of economy of the budgetary funds to mitigate the influence of the world financial crisis on the economy of Kazakhstan," U. Muhamedzhanov reminded. "On December, 30th, 2008, the President gave the order related to the measures on reduction of administrative expenditures of the central and local state bodies, forbidding them to spend money to purchase new vehicles, expensive office furniture, repairs of service buildings and premises, events and business trips abroad of the officials at the expense of the state budget, except for the events and business trips defined by the decision of the government and carrying out of meetings and seminars in Astana, except for those initiated by the government," he specified. According to U. Muhamedzhanov, in January, the Parliament will hear the report of the government on realization of the program of stabilization of the economic and social situation in Kazakhstan.
