Kazakhstan airlines excluded from EU black list
Astana. March 6. Kazakhstan Today - The meeting of the representatives of the civil aviation committee of the Ministry of Transport and Communication took place on Monday with the Chairman of the European commission representation in Kazakhstan Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan Van Der Meer. Van Der Meer informed that Kazakhstan airlines have been excluded from a black list of unsafe airlines list following the results of the preliminary updating work. The list earlier included domestic airlines GST Aero and BJB. The Ministry of Transport and Communication press service informed the agency.
He informed that the next session of Euro commission will take place in March, 2007. During the meeting it is planned to discuss the so-called black list of the airlines the access for which to the EU air space is forbidden.
The Chairman of the representation informed of the proposal of the European Union for Kazakhstan on realization of the joint project on creation of the center of safety in the field of civil aviation for the Central Asian region in Almaty. The new organization will conduct seminars, trainings and other activities. The European Union plans to finance the project.
The parties discussed the signing of horizontal agreement of Kazakhstan with the EU.
