Kazakhstan Today - Extraction of coal in Kazakhstan in January - December, 2008 totaled 110 003.8 thousand tons of coal that is by 11.8 % more than for the similar period of 2007, Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan informs. According to Statistics Agency, 94 403.1 thousand tons of coal has been extracted for January - December, 2007 in Kazakhstan. Extraction of coal in January - November, 2008 in comparison with the similar period of 2007 has increased by 27.1 %. Volume of export of coal reached 30 210.1 thousand tons.
