Devaluation of tenge not to exceed 10 %

Astana. January 19. Kazakhstan Today - The Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning of Kazakhstan, Bahyt Sultanov, considers that devaluation of tenge will not exceed 10 % for a long time. "We consider that the limit of devaluation will be 10 percent for a long term," B. Sultanov said. He reminded that the rate of tenge in the budget is at the level of 123.5 KZT for a dollar and to speak about the rate exceeding 130 KZT for a dollar is early. "We will take into consideration these positions at the next change of the budget," the Economy Minister continued. "There should be a balance between stability of the financial system with sharp devaluation will worsen the problems of the banks on realization of external obligations. On the other hand, competitiveness of the products of the enterprises in the neighboring countries with sharp devaluation will be decreased," the Minister of Economics noted.
