Kazakhstan Today - Volume of gross agricultural products for 2008 in Kazakhstan has totaled 1316.4 billion KZT in the current prices that is below the parameter in 2007 by 5.6 %, the monthly report of Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan states. According to Statistics Agency, 15.6 million tons of grain and leguminous plants was harvested in Kazakhstan in 2008. 3.1 million tons of vegetables and melons and gourds, and 2.4 million tons of potato was harvested in Kazakhstan in 2008. Total harvest of olive seeds and oil containing fruits totaled 414 thousand tons, fruit and nuts - 142.5 thousand tons.
