Industrial growth in Kazakhstan expected to be 2%
Astana. February 6. Kazakhstan Today - The Minister of Economy and Budgetary Planning of Kazakhstan, Bakhyt Sultanov, forecasted that the industrial growth in Kazakhstan in 2009 will be 2%, the agency reports.
"The industrial growth will be 2% due to the fact that there is an increase in oil production up to 76 million. There is a possibility of extraction of 79 million tons this year," B. Sultanov emphasized.
He noted that the main spheres of maintaining of the volume of manufacturing in Kazakhstan, as before, will be oil and mining sectors.
"In general, positive growth will remain, stimulated by the rate of tenge to dollar, which was established yesterday," he emphasized.
